2006	AGU Excellence in Geophysical Education. This award was established in 1996 to acknowledge a sustained commitment to excellence in geophysical education by a team, individual, or group.
2006	AMS Fellow—Dr. Greg Byrd. The honor of Fellow is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences during a substantial period of years.
2006	AMS Special Award—Liz Page. Liz was given the award for extensive and exceptional work over the years on the development, writing, implementation, and execution of the new standards for broadcasters through the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Program.
2005	Honorable Mention in the non-interactive media category of the Science & Engineering Visualization Challenge for Rip Currents: Nearshore Fundamentals—Steve Deyo, Kevin Fuell, Katherine Olson, Dan Riter, Seth Lamos. 2004	AMS Louis J. Battan Authors Award, K-12 Category, for Hurricane Strike!™. This award is presented to author(s) of oustanding newly published books or learning materials that foster the understanding of atmospheric and related sciences in K-12 audiences.
2004	Brandon-Hall Excellence in Learning Gold Medal Award in the Custom Content category awarded to Polar Lows Ungava Bay 01 December 2000. This awards program highlights exception work in the field of online learning.
2001	AMS Fellow—Dr. Tim Spangler. The honor of Fellow is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences during a substantial period of years.
2000	National Hurricane Conference Outstanding Achievement Award for Community Hurricane Preparedness. This award is given for outstanding and innovative achievement in any hurricane-related activity that serves as a model to others.
1994	NewMedia Magazine, NewMedia INVISION Multimedia Awards, Bronze Medal for Boundary Detection & Convection Initiation. The INVISION awards represent top applications in new media technology.
