Here are a few recommended places to hike:
Chautauqua Park/Open Space -
Location: Grant and Baseline Streets, Boulder
This is a great place! Good place to take pictures and relax in the outdoors. There is a park with picnic tables as well as trails to hike on.
The Ranger Cottage (information building) is generally staffed all week between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Here you will find park maps, brochures and information.
Getting there: from Downtown Boulder take the “Hop to Chautauqua” bus to Chautauqua Park/Open Space. Cost is $1.75 each way.
Cottonwood trail -
Location: Go to the south east corner of the COMET Classroom parking lot. You will see a large sidewalk, this is the trail, walk east (away from the mountains).
This is a nice trail to walk on during lunch time! There is a nice view of the mountains and you walk along a tiny river. The distance is approximately 2km, however you can turn around when ever you want.

Bikes - "Blue Bikes" :
UCAR/COMET has bikes that you can use. Ask at the front desk (just outside of the COMET classroom) if any bikes are available to check out. There are two types of bikes:
If a bike is available you will have complete a form and the bike is yours to use for the specified time. Locks and helmets are available.
