About the COMET Classroom
The activities performed by the COMET classroom include developing courses, symposia, workshops and captured lecture webcasts that offer operational weather forecasters, hydrologists, and other atmospheric scientists the opportunity to learn new skills and concepts related to mesoscale meteorology. To this end, nationally and internationally recognized experts are brought into the classroom to present the most recent findings related to mesoscale meteorology. These operationally and academically experienced instructors combine lectures with case-study-based laboratory exercises to teach advanced topics. Many of these experts also work with COMET staff to develop and deliver web-based training in their areas of expertise. These enhanced, course-related materials area available via our MetEd website.
