COMET STUDENT CHECKLIST

  1. Travel Arrangements - You will need to make your own travel arrangements.  For NWS Students Only: Your travel authorization code is 20-02-0000-06-93-00-00 C8M4J10PWN

  2. Hotel Reservations - Please make your hotel reservations by 12 November 2005.

  3. Participant Registration - Complete and submit the online version of the questionnaire no later than 12 November 2004. Please be sure to answer all of the questions.  If you have difficulty accessing the online questionnaire, please contact Linda Korsgaard at (303) 497-8470.

  4. Transportation - It is essential that we know how many students will require the use of the COMET vans, so that we can make the necessary arrangements before you arrive.  Please note on the Participant Registration whether you will be using the COMET vans for local transportation, or if you have other transportation.

  5. Van Drivers - COMET has three minivans available for the students.  During this class we need at least four people who are willing to drive.  The drivers' responsibility is primarily to shuttle students to and from class each day.  However, the vans are available for use locally for such things as dinner and short outings.  All use of the vans after class is at the discretion of the drivers who have committed to driving to and from class each day. If you are willing to volunteer to drive, please fax a legible copy of your current drivers license and a signed copy of the Van Usage Policy to us at (303) 497-8491.

  6. First Day Information - Please meet in the lobby of the Homewood Suites at 3:00 pm on Sunday, 27th November. We will be holding a Course Introduction Meeting in a conference room in the hotel. Any NWS students who are unable to attend this meeting due to Thanksgiving weekend commitments, please meet your driver in the lobby of the hotel at 7:30 am on Monday, 28 November 2005. It is the responsibility of the driver to make sure that everyone is in the van before it leaves for class. In addition to the online Van Pool List, a print out of the list will be left at the Homewood Suites to be picked up when you arrive. If you do not plan to ride in the van please notify your driver.

  7. Registration - There is a $30 registration fee for this course. Please be prepared to pay this registration fee in cash on the first day of class. This fee covers the cost of miscellaneous items provided by COMET. We will provide each of you with a receipt so that you can be reimbursed on your travel voucher.

  8. Cancellation - If you find that you will not be able to attend the course as scheduled, please notify us as soon as possible.

If we can be of further assistance, let us know. We look forward to meeting all of you.
