- Lag Time is the time from the center of mass of the rainfall to the peak of the unit hydrograph.
- Time of concentration is the time at which outflow from a basin is equal to the inflow. It is often considered the longest travel time from any point in the watershed.
- Duration is the time span of the rainfall.
