Getting to COMET

General Information:

The COMET facility is located in an office park off of 47th Street in northeast Boulder. The address is 3450 Mitchell Lane, Boulder, Colorado 80301.

To Get to COMET from the Golden Buff Lodge:

To get to COMET take Canyon east to 28th Street. Turn left onto 28th St. and head north about 3/4 of a mile to Valmont. Valmont is the first major intersection past Pearl Street. Turn right onto Valmont and head east for 1-1/2 miles. You will go past 30th St. and you will also cross Foothills Parkway. Immediately after the Foothills Parkway intersection, turn left (north) onto 47th St. and follow it for a couple of blocks. Mitchell Lane is on your right and is the last street before the railroad tracks. Turn right on Mitchell Lane. The first building on your right (pinkish windows) is 3300 Mitchell Lane. Follow Mitchell Lane until it runs out and you are facing three UCAR buildings at 3450 Mitchell Lane. The COMET Offices are located in Building 3, however, the COMET Classroom is in Building 2, Room 1024. You may park in the visitor parking in front of Building 2. Enter Building 2 and ask the receptionist to direct you to Room 1024.

To Get to COMET from the Homewood Suites Hotels:

To get to COMET you need to take a left onto Foothills Parkway from Baseline, and head north 4 miles to Valmont. Turn right (east) on Valmont, and immediately get into the left turn lane. Turn left onto 47th St. and follow it for a couple of blocks. Mitchell Lane is on your right and is the last street before the railroad tracks. Turn right on Mitchell Lane. The first building on your right (pinkish windows) is 3300 Mitchell Lane. Follow Mitchell Lane until it runs out and you are facing three NCAR buildings at 3450 Mitchell Lane. The COMET Offices are located in Building 3; however, the COMET Classroom is in Building 2, Room 1024. You may park in the visitor parking in front of Building 2. To Get to COMET from Highway 36:

To get to COMET you need to exit onto Foothills Parkway, and head north 4 miles to Valmont. Turn right (east) on Valmont, and immediately get into the left turn lane. To Get to Boulder from the Airport via the Shuttle:

The Rocky Mountain Super Shuttle (formerly Boulder Airporter) provides hourly shuttle service between Denver International Airport (DIA) and Boulder. The Shuttle follows an hourly schedule, leaving DIA on the hour, every hour, and takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. Reservations are not required nor made for service from DIA only. However, you will need to purchase a ticket from the Super Shuttle booth before boarding at DIA. You will need to make reservations for your return trip to DIA. The cost of the Shuttle is $18 from DIA to the Golden Buff. If you depart from COMET to DIA on your return trip the cost of the Shuttle is $22. The phone number is (303) 444-0808.

To Get To and From Class:

COMET mini-vans will be available for the students. These vehicles are primarily to be used for carpooling to and from COMET. These vehicles are not for personal use; they are for group transportation.
