This site provides readily
useable training materials related to the COMET/COMAP
Symposium on Numerical Weather Prediction. The sets of
materials that have been developed are listed below. As
additional materials are developed, the lesson names will be
added to the list. The materials for each
lesson include background information, PowerPoint and Corel
Presentations materials for giving lecture/discussion
presentations, as well as lab exercises and links to related
Websites and PowerPoint presentations from the
NWP Symposium. When existing materials are
updated, an "update" icon and date will be displayed beside
the lesson name below. The link for the Case
Study Template at the bottom of this page lets you
download a PC-based tool for creating your own case
studies. Note: These
materials were developed in late 1998 and have not been
updated. For more up-to-date information on operational
models, please refer to the NWP PDS
training materials.
