Proposal Information

Update (3/20/13): No FY13 funding is currently available for Partners or Cooperative Projects. This website will be updated if the funding status changes.

• Outreach Partners Projects: Partners projects are limited to one year in length and funding requests less than $15,000. Proposals can be submitted any time if money is available and are reviewed by NWS and COMET staff as they are received. Click here for more information.
• Outreach Cooperative Projects: Cooperative projects are usually 1-3 years in length, with an average award of about $35,000 per year. Cooperative project proposals can only be submitted in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP) and are reviewed by a panel of experts.

  Please note that the most important feature of any Outreach project is collaborative research. Proposals that do not include a significant role for the NWS partner are unlikely to be funded.
