Course Info: Using the NOAA Tidal Analysis Datums Calculator Course
Using the NOAA Tidal Analysis Datums Calculator
Course Description
The COMET Program and partners from the National Ocean Service recently updated the Using the NOAA Tidal Analysis Datums Calculator Course. The NOAA Tidal Analysis Datums Calculator (TADC) reads a time series of water level data and calculates several tidal datums. This course provides step-by-step instruction on using the TADC. It describes data and metadata requirements, the processes used by the TADC to compute datums, and the information contained in the output files. After completing the course, you'll be able to determine tidal datums using TADC.
Key Updates
The course, originally published in 2020, has been updated to reflect new TADC capabilities that allow users to work with a wider range of water level data and gain additional insights through optional analyses of inundation and daily water level extremes.
