Course Description
Volcanic eruptions can significantly impact human health, infrastructure, aviation, and a variety of economic assets. Over most regions of Earth except the polar regions, geostationary satellites, and in particular, the Ash and SO2 (sulfur dioxide) RGB products, can help forecasters understand the composition and evolution of a volcanic plume to aid in situational awareness and decision support efforts.

Operational forecasters or anyone interested in analyzing the emissions of volcanic eruptions
