Using ProxyVis Multispectral Imagery
Course Description
Satellite imagery can appear differently during nighttime and at the transition between day and night depending the bands available for viewing. A new satellite product called ProxyVis is designed to emulate daytime visible satellite imagery during the transition to nighttime. In this lesson, you will learn about ProxyVis and how it compares to other satellite imagery. In two short cases, learners will apply their newly gained skills to use ProxyVis to analyze a situation. Learners will be able to practice using ProxyVis to identify its capabilities compared with other, more well-known satellite products.
Intended Audience
Operational forecasters, specifically those who forecast for regions including oceans and large bodies of water
